The founder of One Love Family worldwide, Sat Guru Maharaj Ji, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to confirm the appointment of the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu.
Guru Maharaj Ji urged President Muhammadu Buhari to rely on the report of the presidential advisory committee on corruption in confirming the acting EFCC chairman, Tribune reports.
The cleric gave the advice to the president at a press conference preparatory to his 69th birthday anniversary in his village, in Ibadan, Oyo state capital recently
He also called on the Sultan of Sokoto, Saa’d Abubakar, to use his revered position to speak to the people of the Northern Nigeria on the need to work for enduring national peace.
According to Maharaj ji, such conduct by the Sultan would boost the confidence of other ethnic groups that make up Nigeria on the principle of co-existence.
The cleric also frowned on situation in which some Northern elements would work against the co-existence of ethic groups.
He however, affirmed his belief in the unity of Nigeria.
In a related news, Guru Maharaj Ji has advised the federal government to constitute a Price Control Board in order to ameliorate the impact of the current economic recession on ordinary Nigerians
He said the price control mechanism would strengthen the Naira.
